Autism Awareness Month – Piece by Piece Scentsy Warmer

Piece by Piece Scentsy Full-Size Warmer
Do you know April was Autism Awareness month?? Also, do you know Scentsy supports this cause.

Whether you are personally affected by Autism or know of anyone with autism, or not, you can LEARN MORE about this disorder.

In the Spring/Summer 2011 Catalog seasons, Scentsy introduced a special Autism Awareness warmer for Autism Speaks – Piece by Piece. With help from consultants, like me, and customers, like you, the Scentsy Family Foundation is able to donate 100% of the Net Proceeds from the sale of these warmers, to support this wonderful cause. Scentsy presented a check to Autism Speaks for $533,880.00 last September.  This amount was from the sales between March 1 and August 31, 2011, but the donation monies will continue to go to Autism Speaks for all sales of this warmer.

While these beautiful warmers are no longer listed in our catalogs, they are still available for purchase (ONLY while supplies last) in our Close-Out products for only $35.00.  The net proceeds still go towards benefiting Autism Speaks!  Colorful jigsaw pieces playfully pop out from the puzzle adorning Piece by Piece, Scentsy’s newest Charitable Cause Warmer, designed to represent the mission of Autism Speaks™.  Support this great cause and purchase your warmer today:  BUY HERE

Autism Awareness in April

The United States recognizes April as National Autism Month to educate the public about autism and issues within the autism community since the 1970s.
In December 2007, the United Nations General Assembly declared April 2nd as World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) in perpetuity. Autism Speaks, the nation’s largest autism advocacy organization, will celebrate this month with a variety of National Awareness and Fundraising Initiatives.

I personally know children and family members with children affected by this complex brain disorder, Autism.  There are various forms, types and degrees of autism.  Many of these children are in public schools and in the mainstream educational system while some need more specialized assistance. Many treatment methods are still emerging. Consider showing your support to a family affected by Autism by purchasing a warmer as a gift for them and supporting Autism Speaks.
